Fashion | Nike Air Max 95 “Port Wine”

The Fall colours are in now!! Sorry, just a little excited. Anyway, Nike is throwing us some Autumn colourways lately and its all fire. The latest from the Swoosh dips the classic Air Max 95 in a deep wine edition.

The “Port Wine/Bordeaux” colour scheme wraps around the entire upper of the shoe. Suede hits the toe panels, while mesh finds its way near the lacing system. The ribbed side panels of the shoe feature the signature gradient, but also boasts a glossy finish. A white mid-sole breaks apart things for a well rounded look.

Security | A Nike Sportwear box, that is a safe!!

We’ve all used shoe boxes to store the detritus of our daily lives, whether it’s old letters, photos or random objects with sentimental value. And even though they’re the perfect size, we typically don’t store valuables in our old shoe boxes, primarily because they just don’t offer anything in the way of security. That all changes with the Mandem Safe, which for all intents and purposes appears to be a standard cardboard Nike shoe box, but is instead built with 5mm folded steel with a cam lock and pre-drilled holes at the base, allowing you to screw down the box directly onto the floor. It’s currently in the prototype phase, so go to themandemsafe.com to sign up for updates.the-mandem-safe-2

Fashion | Air Jordan Future releasing 15.03.14

The almighty, success driven Jordan brand has done it again, they are bring us what they call “Future” or rightly named, Air Jordan Future. Now I’ll be honest, the first images of this sneaker, had me like no way, I don’t like that. But now that the brand has released official images prior to it’s March 15th release, I have to say, my opinion has changed dramatically. This is a luxury looking sneaker, and a fine looking one at that. The Jumpman brand have done away with a leather upper for this sneaker, and have given it the woven material treatment. They say that this creation is “symbiotic relationship between the court and the street”. The Future silhouette is designed with an Air Jordan XI sole with a chukka style upper, complete with an asymmetrical lace-up system.

Jordan Brand’s description of the sneaker says:

With a carbon fiber plate and full-length air outsole, the Jordan Future offers lightweight comfort and cushioning. Enhancing the minimalist nature of the shoe, the deconstructed upper foregoes a heel counter and toe enforcer. The asymmetrical lacing reduces pressure across the top of the foot, while the suede interior and ankle collar enhance comfort.

The release date for the Jordan Future is Saturday 15th March, and the colour ways they have shown us are that of the Black / Glow OR Black/ Infrared version. In my opinion, I will purchase one for sure, something different and as the name says, it’s looking ahead to the Future, not trying to recreate the OG colourways and designs that so many sneaker heads would like to see protected, and remain as classics with no re-productions.

Fashion | Nike Air Tech Challenge Returns

Over the recent years, we have been treated to many re-release, re-constructed and invented colour ways of our beloved sneakers from the late 80’s and 90’s. In 2013 The Air Jordan 3 & 5 saw a fair few releases and new colour ways, which were a hit with new lovers to the brand, but many on the fence OG fans would not cop to them and passed those releases by, which would answer the question of why so many of them stayed on the shelf, in full sizes for so long after release day. Well 2014 will be bringing more retro sneakers, in OG colour ways, and many dressed in new colours. Not only is the Jordan brand brining back the Jordan 6 with a bang, but the beloved Huarache based Air Tech Challenge will see a re-release in January.

nike_airtechchallenge_d1

For those that are not familiar with this sneaker, could be due to the fact that it was mainly rocked by Tennis players, who followed the man who inspired it, Mr Andre Aggasi. Originally released in 1992, the sneaker adopts a mid silhouette offering greater ankle support whilst maintaining the Huarache neoprene sock liner before being finished with colours and patterns that are undoubtedly 90s. This is certainly a release I will be adding to my collection upon release…will you?

Fashion | Nike Air Max 90 Premium – Grey / Volt

Just because summer is officially over for many of us, that doesn’t mean that Nike Sportwear stop bringing the freshness for the winter months ahead. Check out this new colourway, and material set up they have put on the classic Nike Air Max 90 Premium.

Nike_AirMax_Grey_Volt_01

The primary colour and material is grey suede, which follows through out most of the sneaker including the mid-sole, Nike Swoosh and lacing tabs. The ankle collar and outer sole is where the Volt kicks in, to bring this sneaker to life, and lights up any dark evening walk home from work or to the gym.

This colour way is set for release next month, keep an eye out for it, as I can see this being snapped up quickly.

Time for me to get into the swing of things finally. 2013 is looking to be a very big year for trainer (sneaker) wearers worldwide, with Nike and Reebok leading the way of mass releases, and desirable colour ways which will leave many of you SneakerHeads and HypeBeasts low on money at any given time of the month, let alone around pay day.

Fashion | Nike Air Max 1 PRM (BLOOD SPORTS)

So my resolution for 2013 to not purchase as many sneakers as I did in 2012 is looking like a immediate failure within the month of January alone. YES I have red sneakers already but you can’t deny it, your loving the Blood Sports Red, Nike Air Max 1’s which are due for a January release in all NSW (Nike SportsWear) stockists globally. These will officially be my first pair of Air Max 1’s, and from the constant reviews and praise these get, I am looking forward to owning them, especially for those long DJ sets I’ll be doing.

End of World release date for Jordan 11 BRED's

So it’s 7 days until the supposed end of the world, and seems many are on some end of the world hype. The only hype I’m following is the release of the Jordan 11 BRED’s which are scheduled for release on December 21st. These sneakers are iconic, not just because they are another Jordan brand release, but the history behind them, and the championship that Michael Jordan lead his team to makes these a special release indeed. So the question is, where will you be on Friday 21st December 2012?
